Webinar: Helping to make things concrete: farmer-advisor workshops for strip cropping design

Cropping in strips holds promise for enhancing productivity as well as biodiversity through greater diversity in space. Many farmers are interested to hear more about this idea, but have reservations to start experimenting. The challenge in Case Study 16 of DiverIMPACTS is to start learning-by-doing. How are they doing that? Why did they choose to organise farmer-adviser design workshops? What role for the various actors?

On May 2, Laurens Nuijten from Bionext will present: Helping to make things concrete: farmer-advisor workshops for strip cropping design. The webinar is of interest to those who want to think about how to get farmers and others involved in the change processes towards crop diversification.

Laurens Nuijten is a project leader at Bionext, the umbrella organisation of the Dutch organic sector. He leads Case Study 16 and will talk from his experience with linking people and wisdoms for crop diversification.

The DiverIMPACTS webinar series is a platform to present and exchange practical information about the DiverIMPACTS project and its results, with a focus on the DiverIMPACTS case studies. It is held monthly and is open to anyone interested.
